Gaddafi Kamal
Executive Chairman
Gaddafi Kamal is the Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Cergas Energy Group and the ultimate majority shareholder of Cergas Energy Limited (CEL). In 2018, he led the acquisition of a majority stake in CEL and its Singapore-based oil trading companies, positioning the Group as the first Bumiputra majority-owned company focused on international commodity trading for petroleum, petroleum-related products and mining minerals.
Under his leadership, the Group has achieved sustained growth across its oil trading, mining and property portfolios while expanding into new markets and strategic ventures. He provides overall oversight of corporate strategy, governance and operations, drawing on more than two decades of experience in the oil and gas sector.
Gaddafi is also the Managing Director of Salur Kuasa Sdn. Bhd. and Janacap Sdn. Bhd. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of the SPK Oil & Gas Group of Companies where he led operational expansion and a successful business turnaround.
Earlier in his career, he headed the Oil & Gas Division at Sharikat Permodalan Kebangsaan Berhad where he revitalised its Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) segment and spearheaded the development of offshore aviation, engineering and upstream services. His tenure included forming strategic joint ventures with international partners and establishing an offshore aviation services business supported by long-term contracts exceeding RM1 billion with national and international oil companies.
A Chartered Accountant since 2001, Gaddafi began his career with Ernst & Young in Kuala Lumpur and Fitzpatrick & Co. in Ireland.
Dato’ Sri Eric Oh Teik Chay
Dato’ Sri Eric Oh Teik Chay is a co-founder of Cergas Energy Group. Currently, he is the Managing Director and Executive Director of Ericsenz Capital. He acted as an Independent non-executive director of Barakah Offshore Petroleum Berhad and Litespeed Education Technologies Berhad (currently known as Eduspec Holdings Berhad). He also hold directorship in several listed companies.
Dato’ Sri Eric has 21 years of experience in cross-border merger and acquisition, private equity investments, corporate restructuring & turnaround exercise and IPO listings in various industries such as oil & gas, information technology, healthcare, education and consumer industries in Asia.
He has experience in listing several companies in the stock exchanges of Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. He established Ericsen Foundation; a charitable non-profit organisation committed to improve the lives of those in the underprivileged communities.
